Atiq Bajwa

Atiq Bajwa is a computing industry executive with over thirty years of technical and executive leadership experience in product research and development. In 2016 he retired from Intel as the Vice President and General Manager of product architecture, responsible for the architectural definition and development of microprocessors for Intel’s ultramobile, PC, workstation and server computing segments.

Atiq previously held various technical and management positions in microprocessor development as well as development of electronic design automation (EDA) software used to design Intel CPUs. He also served as General Manager of Intel’s cable networking operation; and led the acquisition and integration of one of Intel’s largest publicly held acquisitions in the networking and communications arena.

Atiq holds six US patents in computer architecture and an Intel Achievement Award for pioneering work on the Pentium Pro processor. Before joining Intel, he worked on the development of the 32000 family of microprocessors at National Semiconductor.

Atiq received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Yale University.
