Amy Mantz, PhD

Senior Research Scientist

Dr. Amy Mantz completed her MS in Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she also went on to complete her Ph.D. in Biological Systems Engineering. Her Ph.D. thesis investigated tuning cell-material interactions to improve substrate-mediated gene delivery (SMD) via the addition of polymer brushes to titanium substrates and her research findings were published in two peer reviewed journals. Her long-term goals include performing research on biomaterials and cell-material interactions to improve the efficacy of therapeutic drugs.

Amy is the 2021 Scott Carter Foundation Scientist.
