The Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0

We have some bright news for your Wednesday: The Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0 is a bipartisan bill, which proposes that penalties from pharmaceutical companies that break the law would be channeled directly to critical medical research on behalf of children. We love seeing this these types of efforts to provide more funding for this critical research.

U.S. Rep. Jennifer Wexton, who co-sponsored the bill, said it best: “With investment in research for childhood cancer and other rare pediatric diseases at a historic low, we are failing the tens of thousands of children across the country who are battling these illnesses. We can do better for our kids. By redirecting the penalties from pharmaceutical companies that break the law, we can fund lifesaving medical research.”
